Dr. Robert Greenberg attended New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1975. He then completed a General Practice Residency Program at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 1976. In 1979, after completing a two year endodontic specialty program at the University Of Illinois Dental School, he started the private practice of endodontics.
Dr. Greenberg is an attending staff member of both Loyola University Medical Center and Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he conducts endodontic seminars in the general practice residency programs. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Association of Endodontists, Illinois Association Of Endodontists, Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, and the Chicago Dental Forum.
Dr. Fayad received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the College of Dentistry, Cairo University in 1985. He received his Masters in Oral Sciences in 1994 and his PhD in 1996 from the University of Buffalo at New York. He had two years of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Eastman Dental Center, University of Rochester at New York, and received his certificate of Specialty in Endodontics at the University of Illinois.
Currently he is the director of Endodontic research, and a clinical associate Professor in the Endodontic department at College of Dentistry at UIC, dividing his time between teaching, research, intra-and extra-mural continuing education and private practice. He currently serves on the Scientific Advisory and Manuscript Review Panels of the Journal of Endodontics, and Evidence Based Endodontics Journal. He served on the AAE Research and Scientific Affairs Committee and co-chaired AAE/AAOMR committee drafting the joint position statement on CBCT (2015). He has numerous publications and chapters in peer reviewed journals and textbooks (Pathways of the pulp) and (Contemporary surgical Endodontics). He is the co-editor of the CBCT text book (3-D Imaging in Endodontics: A new Era in diagnosis and treatment) by Springer (2016). He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and gave numerous presentations nationally and internationally.

Dr. Um graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2010. Dr. Um received her Endodontic certification and Master from University of Illinois Chicago in 2018. During dental school, she was awarded the Health Professional Scholarship from the U.S. Air Force. During her 5 years of active duty, she was station in Mountain Home AFB, ID, Lackland AFB, TX, and deployed to Al Udeid AFB, Qatar. After Active Duty, Dr. Um was honorably discharged and worked in private practice until she started her Endodontic training at UIC.
Dr. Um has served as the resident member of the AAE Professional and public relations committee from 2017 to 2018.
Currently she is a clinical associate Professor in the Endodontic department at College of Dentistry at UIC and at Northshore University Healthsystem Evanston Hospital General Dentistry Residency program. She has collaborated with Dr. Fayad on Endodontic research.
